2005 Shiraz***On Special *** Colour: Black cherry with red and light purple hues Aromatics: Vanilla, white pepper, spice, plums, blackberry, mixed red berries, ground coffee and mocha. Palate: A wonderfully weighted wine showing plum and an array of mixed berries and cherries, interwoven with vanilla flavour, blackberries, spices, ground coffee, mocha and some lingering chocolate. The palate is well structured being in balance with oak, both new and seconds, finishing with a veil of soft tannin and acid. Food: This wine goes well with meats and cheeses. Alcohol: 14% |


Our Gourmet Day was a huge successSunday the 4th July was our annual Gourmet Day and what a wonderful day it was. The weather was perfect and this encouraged our biggest attendance yet. We had 680 people work through our doors.We had band ‘Little Black Dress’ playing all day with music for all ages. We had gourmet food for sale including, fresh Oysters and Prawns, Gourmet Sausages, Mini Yiros and for sweet tooths Cheesecakes and Cupcakes. All our wines were on show including our 2010 vintage and our 2008 Shiraz which was officially released. Wine and Roses ExpoAfter many months of organisation, our Wine and Roses Expo was a great success and a wonderful weekend. The cellar door was filled with wonderful aromas of roses, cooking, wine and freshly ground coffee. The winery has never looked so colourful with the large displays of roses, artwork by local artists – Geoff and Heather Lock, Lorraine Fromm and Alex Wakefield and the many displays by entrants in our wine and roses competitions.A huge thank you to Bruce and Simon from YorKreation Garden Centre, who were our partners in this event.
