WILD WINTER HARVEST

Join Barley Stacks Wines and Newchurch Horticulture as they present the first 'Wild Winter Harvest', an Official Tasting Australia event.

SATURDAY THE 17TH OF JULY, FROM 6PM

Head to the Yorke Peninsula for a deliciously different collaboration. You’ll enjoy a six-course meal showcasing native edibles from Newchurch Horticulture, with a Barley Stacks wine paired to each dish. Local seafood and meats are set to feature, plus unique salads and desserts made with local native herbs and spices. Alternative folk-rock musicians The Yorke Band will set the scene with their thoughtful tunes. 

Barley Stacks Wines Cellar Door and Function Centre is hosting this evening event. Fireside canapes and the sight of slow-cooked meat will begin the experience, followed by a move to the rustic cellar door for a selection of warming winter-themed dishes. Each course will be introduced by a member of the Newchurch Horticulture team, followed by a description of the paired wine from Barley Stacks winemaker Colin Sheppard. 

This unique event, the first of its kind held at Barley Stacks Wines, is the perfect chance to try local native produce alongside the best Yorke Peninsula drops.

Tickets are $90 per person and include your 6 course meal as well as wine specially paired to each course.

Other local beverages including Watsacowie Brewing Co beers and Sunny Hill Distillery cocktails will be available to purchase on the night.

The night will conclude at approximately 11pm. 

Free transport will be available on the night from Maitland and Port Victoria. Transport from other local towns will be available, if there is enough interest. Please contact the Cellar Door on 0888341258 to register your interest.
